About Our TAG* Roast

With over four decades of expertise in green bean selection, roasting, and cupping, our TAG Roast (Torrefazione Artigianale Granito) is crafted to bring out the fullest potential of each single-origin coffee. Through a meticulous roasting process, we achieve the complete caramelization of the sugars in the beans, unlocking their rich, complex flavors. This artful transformation relies on the perfect balance of expertise, passion, intuition, and the keen insight of our Master Roaster.

About the Plantation

This coffee is grown in the shade of old walnut trees and guava trees, in the Amazonian province of Rodriguez de Mendoza, also known as the "Peruvian Capital of Organic Coffee".

Harvested at altitudes of 1,600 meters above sea level, it grows largely on slopes and enjoys a humid and tropical climate, with temperatures varying from 18 °C to 25 °C.

The months of March and April bring a lot of rain which helps the coffee trees to better endure the summer months while impacting the flowering and promoting the ripening of the coffee cherries.

Farmers adopt the very best agricultural practices such as the use of machetes to promote soil conservation as well as the use of organic fertilizer.
