Nepal Mount Everest Supreme is a washed Caturra green coffee from the Himalayan foothills north of Kathmandu, offered in 20 kg bulk. It comes from an estate established in 1996 near the Ganesh Himal range, where coffee production funds soil conservation, reforestation, and agricultural support for local growers. Screened at 16 and above, the lot delivers consistent bean size for even roasting, and gives roasters an emerging-origin story to share with their own customers.

Cupping Profile

Expect full body, soft balanced acidity, and a clean, lingering finish. Caturra from this lower-altitude estate tends toward sweetness and roundness rather than the sharp acidity of high-grown lots. These are roast-potential indicators for the green lot, not finished-cup guarantees; final character depends on roast development and brew method. Screen 16+ sizing supports even extraction across espresso and filter.

Processing

The cherries are wet-processed: depulped, fermented to remove the mucilage, then washed clean and dried. Washed processing produces a clean cup that lets the estate's character and the Caturra cultivar show clearly, without the fruit-forward overlay of natural processing. At 700 to 800 metres, the beans are less dense than high-grown coffees, which has direct implications for how the lot roasts.

Roast Guidance

A medium roast suits this lot, with the final level at the roaster's discretion. Because the lower-altitude beans are softer and less dense, they absorb heat and develop faster than high-grown coffees. Monitor the rate of rise and avoid pushing into a dark roast, which can flatten the cup's natural sweetness. Most roasters will find a medium profile expresses the body and clean finish most clearly across espresso and filter.
