ABOUT THE PLANTATION
Our India Monsoon Malabar coffee beans originate from the Shevaroys region of southern India.
The great distinction of this region for coffee production remains its monsoon process. When goods were transported by sailboats, a journey through Europe spanned several months, often hot and humid. Affected by this intense humidity, the taste and color of the beans were transformed. The green beans turned yellowish and the taste very particular.
Today "monsoon" coffee is recreated by spreading the beans out in the open air and open-roofed warehouses during the monsoon season.
