About the Plantation
This coffee originates from the Tarrazu region located in the Central Valley, specifically in the Orosi and Tres Ríos coffee regions.
The areas’ topography (slope) and soil (volcanic) are ideal for growing as they guarantee a homogeneous and high quality coffee.
The elevation of the central valley also affects the size and hardness of the coffee beans.
Coffee harvest takes place during the dry season, which runs from December to April. The rainy season is from May to November.
About the Growers
This small group of growers from the Tarrazu region share a deep appreciation for their land and the environment. They come together to carefully handpick all of the ripened cherries in the Costa Rican rainforests, where volcanoes help nourish the soil.
As responsible coffee producers, they take all measures to minimize the environmental impact at the processing level while ensuring high quality coffee.
