ARIEL Concentration

Concentration is a chai in herbal form: yerba mate, the classic South American leaf, layered with warm chai spices and smooth vanilla. It brews to a bright golden cup, spiced and lightly sweet, with the grassy, green character of mate underneath. Since it's built on yerba mate rather than a herbal flower blend, it's naturally caffeinated, which makes it a good cup for the working part of the day.

Tasting Notes

The chai spices lead, warm and aromatic, with vanilla rounding them into something smooth and almost creamy. Beneath sits the yerba mate itself: green, grassy and a little earthy, with the gentle bite the leaf is known for. A touch of stevia leaf brings quiet sweetness without any sugar, and the finish is clean and spiced.

Yerba Mate

Yerba mate comes from the leaves of a South American holly, traditionally dried and steeped and shared from a gourd. It has its own distinct character, greener and more herbal than tea, and it naturally contains caffeine. Here it's paired with chai spices and vanilla, which soften its edges and turn a very traditional leaf into something easy and familiar.

Brewing

Heat fresh water to 90 °C and steep 2.5 g (about one teaspoon) for 4 minutes. It takes milk well if you want a mate chai latte.
