ARIEL Chrysanthemum & Amaranth

This blooming tea hides two flowers inside one hand-tied leaf: a golden chrysanthemum and a jewel-bright amaranth, wrapped in white tea and folded into a small acorn. Drop one into a glass pot, add hot water, and it slowly opens to reveal the blossoms rising at its heart. As much a centrepiece as a cup of tea.

Tasting Notes

The infusion is pale and delicate, the way white tea should be, with a soft, gently smoky edge that sets it apart. Chrysanthemum brings a light, honeyed floral note, while amaranth adds a whisper of colour and a clean, subtle sweetness. There's no astringency and nothing heavy – just a fragrant, calming cup to sip slowly while the flowers stay open.

Watching It Bloom

Every one is tied by hand. Artisans gather fine white tea leaves around the dried flowers, bind them with thread, and shape each bundle to unfurl cleanly in hot water. Brew it in glass so you can watch the moment it blooms – a quiet occasion out of an ordinary afternoon, and an easy, memorable gift.

Brewing

Place one bundle in a glass pot or cup and pour over fresh water heated to 90 °C. Give it a few minutes to open fully; each one makes about four cups, and you can keep topping up while the flowers hold their shape.
