ABOUT THE ROAST
This blend consists of 60 % Light Medium roast and 40 % Medium Dark roast.
Light Medium Roast caramelised the coffees’ natural sugars and brings out its varietal characteristics while our Medium Dark Roast is designed to increase body and reduce acidity.
Due to the increased porosity of the beans that have undergone decaffeination, the exterior becomes darker than the interior during roasting, creating the impression of a darker roast coffee, even though the interior remains lighter.
ABOUT THE MOUNTAIN WATER DECAF PROCESS
The Mountain Water Decaf process offers a chemical-free, eco-friendly way to remove caffeine from coffee beans while preserving their rich, full flavor. This process utilizes 100% recyclable, all-natural byproducts, making it an environmentally responsible choice.
In this unique method, green coffee beans are immersed in mineral-rich water sourced from Mexico's Pico de Orizaba glacier. The high mineral content helps extract both caffeine and flavor compounds. The coffee extract then passes through activated charcoal filters to remove the caffeine, and the flavor-infused water is reused for the next batch of beans. This sustainable, chemical-free approach ensures that the coffee retains its original, vibrant taste.
