Cool, sweet, and endlessly refreshing – Moroccan mint is green tea's most sociable form. We blend smooth whole-leaf green tea with spearmint for that bright, cooling lift the style is loved for. Served hot and sweet in the Moroccan tradition, or poured over ice on a warm day, it's a cup made for sharing.
Tasting Notes
Spearmint leads – fresh and cooling, with a clean, sweet edge – over a mellow, lightly vegetal green tea base. The two balance each other: the green tea grounds the mint, the mint lifts the green tea. It steeps a clear golden cup that's crisp and aromatic, lovely plain or with a little sugar the way it's traditionally served.
A Moroccan Tradition
In Morocco, mint tea – known as atay – is poured at almost every gathering as a sign of welcome. It's traditionally made with Chinese green tea and fresh mint, sweetened and poured from a height to build a little foam on top. This blend brings that warm, hospitable ritual into an easy everyday cup.
Brewing
Green tea is best below boiling – steep at 70–85 °C for about 2–3 minutes, using roughly 2.5 g (a heaping teaspoon) per cup, or one tea bag. Sweeten to taste in the Moroccan style, and serve hot or over ice. A longer steep brings out more mint; a gentler one keeps it smooth.
