ARIEL Mandarin Orange

Bright citrus over a soft, gentle base – Mandarin Orange is white tea at its most cheerful. The delicate white tea leaf gives the cup its smooth, airy character, while mandarin orange and orange blossom add a sunny, fragrant lift. It's light and refreshing, naturally low in caffeine, and easy to drink any time of day.

Tasting Notes

The orange leads – juicy and zesty, with a soft floral note from orange blossom. Underneath, the white tea is pale and mellow, never bitter, and a little licorice root rounds it out with natural sweetness. Pieces of dried carrot add a warm golden colour to the loose blend. It steeps a clear amber-gold and is lightly sweet on its own.

About White Tea

White tea is the least processed of the true teas – picked young, then simply withered and dried. That gentle handling keeps the cup soft and rounded, which is exactly why it carries bright citrus so well: the fruit lifts without overpowering the tea.

Brewing

Steep at 90 °C for about 3½ minutes – roughly 2.5 g (a heaping teaspoon) per cup, or one tea bag. White tea is light in caffeine, so it suits a morning, afternoon, or evening cup. It's lovely hot, and refreshing poured over ice.
