8 Ways to Reuse My Coffee

8 Ways to Reuse My Coffee

The sun is warming us with its light, the days are getting longer, spring is here! Spring also means cleaning. Why not sort out our habits? Why not start by rethinking our eco-responsible habits?

In this article, we propose 8 simple ways to reuse your coffee grounds. Yes, yes! You can get even more out of your favorite TERRA coffee!

1. A good fertilizer for your plants : Just mix it into your soil for your garden or vegetable garden seedlings. Don't worry, the grounds are no longer acidic once the extraction of your morning beverage is done.

2. Keeps small animals away from your garden : Small animals that come to eat your flowers or cucumbers do not like the smell of coffee grounds in general. So you can put some in your garden from time to time to repel them without chemicals!

3. Home compost : If you are making home compost to use for your small plantation, put your coffee grounds in it!

4. Freshen up your fridge odors : This is a great way to replace your small box of baking soda. Just put some in a small open jar and voila! When you make the switch, throw the old coffee grounds in your municipal compost.

5. Scrub greasy dishes : This is a very good scouring agent to remove what has stuck in the pan.

6. Natural scrub for your skin : Did you know that most of the scrubs you find at the drugstore are made of plastic microbeads? This is like exfoliating your skin with a petroleum component and that the whole thing ends up in our water. And no, it's not biodegradable. So, you can use your coffee grounds as a natural exfoliant!

*Tip: If you want to use it to exfoliate your face, the espresso or finer coffee grinds will be less abrasive to your cheeks.

7. Reduce dark circles under the eyes : Lightly moisten, put a little under your eyes and relax for a few minutes. It will do you good!

8. Anti-cellulite : Lightly moistened or mixed with coconut oil, rub gently where you have cellulite. After a few times, you will find your skin a little smoother.

*Tip: Dry your coffee grounds before putting them in a container. Otherwise, they will develop mold and will only be good for compost.

Have a good ecological spring cleaning!
