Green Tea Chicken Soup Recipe

4 PORTIONS
INGREDIENTS
5 cups (1.25 L) of water
2 tea bags (5gr whole leaves) of ARIEL 100% Japanese Sencha tea
1 lemongrass stem, sliced
1 cup (250ml) frozen peeled edemame / soybeans
1 large carrot, thinly sliced on the diagonal
½ tsp (2ml) sea salt
¼ tsp (1ml) black pepper
500gr boneless, sliced chicken breast
1 cup (250ml) cooked brown rice
1 tbsp (15ml) sesame oil
STEPS
1. In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil. Turn off the heat and add the tea and sliced lemongrass. Let it infuse for 10 minutes.
2. Remove the tea and lemongrass and slowly bring to a boil. Stir in the edemame, carrot, salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Add the cooked sliced chicken, cooked brown rice and sesame oil. Simmer for 2 minutes before serving.
