Golden Cane Sugar

Terra's Golden Cane Sugar is sourced from a certified-organic crop, grown without monoculture and certified Organic by Ecocert Canada. A gentle centrifugal process lifts away surface moisture while keeping the cane's natural golden colour and light, clean flavour. Because it's unbleached and made with no animal-derived processing agents, it's vegan, gluten free, and nut free.

It sweetens coffee and tea without altering their character – a neutral profile that makes it a favourite for specialty brewing, where the sugar should complement rather than compete. It dissolves cleanly in hot and cold drinks alike, and works just as well in baking and everyday cooking.

Our Selection Process

While setting out to find a sugar worthy of our coffees and teas, our research led to an uncomfortable discovery: many white sugars achieve their colour through a bleaching process that can involve bone char, and much of the world's cane is grown in monoculture, stripping land of biodiversity for a single crop.

This is why Terra's golden cane sugar is unbleached, organically certified, and sourced from a farm that respects the land it works.
