A gentle green tea base gives a soft, grassy foundation, and the lemon runs right through it with a zesty, slightly sweet citrus note. A Twist of Lemon

Lemon and green tea are a classic pairing – the citrus brightens the tea and the tea softens the citrus. Here a mellow green tea base carries a fresh lemon flavour that stays bright without turning sharp, so the cup finishes clean and thirst-quenching. Add a slice of fresh lemon and a little honey if you like, especially over ice.

Brewing

Heat fresh water to 90 °C and steep one tea bag for 2 minutes. Keep the water below boiling so the green tea stays smooth rather than bitter. For iced tea, brew it a little stronger and pour over ice with a slice of lemon.
