ARIEL Strawberry Pearls

Strawberry Pearls are little hand-rolled beads of green tea that open slowly as they steep. The base is a fragrant, jasmine-scented green tea, blended with pieces of real dried strawberry for a cup that's floral, fruity and delicately sweet. Pretty in the pot, and a natural over ice.

Tasting Notes

The cup pours a clear, pale gold and smells of jasmine and ripe strawberry. The green tea base is smooth and softly grassy, the jasmine gives it a fragrant floral lift, and the strawberry adds a sweet, juicy fruitiness through the middle. It's light, delicate and low in astringency, finishing clean and perfumed. Sweet enough to enjoy on its own, and elegant over ice.

The Pearls

Each pearl is green tea leaves hand-rolled into a tight little bead, a traditional finish that keeps the tea fresh and lets it unfurl slowly in hot water. These carry the classic floral scent of jasmine, with pieces of dried strawberry blended alongside for fruit and colour. Watch them open as they steep – it's part of the pleasure.

Brewing

Heat fresh water to 75–85 °C and steep 2.5 g (a small spoonful of pearls) for 3 minutes. Keep the water gentle so the green tea stays smooth and the jasmine fragrant; the pearls give a good second steep. For iced tea, brew a little stronger and pour over ice.
