ARIEL Maple and Nut

Maple and Nut is black tea for people with a sweet tooth. A smooth black tea base is layered with warm maple and toasted-nut flavours, plus real pieces of dried licorice that lend a natural sweetness and a glowing red tint to the cup. It's rich, cozy and dessert-like, and it takes beautifully to milk.

Tasting Notes

The cup is deep and reddish, and the aroma is pure comfort: warm maple, toasted nuts and a hint of licorice sweetness. The black tea base keeps it grounded and full-bodied, while the maple and nut flavours make it taste almost like dessert. Licorice rounds everything with a smooth, candy-like sweetness, so it's satisfying with nothing added – though a splash of milk makes it richer still.

A Sweet, Cozy Blend

The base is a smooth whole-leaf black tea, chosen to carry sweet, aromatic flavours without turning harsh. Through it run warm maple and nutty notes and pieces of real licorice root, which bring their own gentle sweetness and that signature red colour. A comforting, after-dinner kind of cup – no sugar needed.

Brewing

Heat fresh water to 95 °C and steep 2.5 g (about one teaspoon) for 3 minutes. It's a black tea, so it can turn bitter if brewed too long – keep to the time and add milk if you like; the same leaves give a good second cup.
